As sad as the ghostly scene of Pompeii was, there were times when it was hard not to see the obvious signs of life as well. It was a grey, rainy day when I went, but there were short periods of time where the clouds separated and the sun beamed down over everything, giving it an amazing glow. It also highlighted the greenery that had started to grow through the cracks in the ground, the flowers growing across the pathways and the trees growing within the walls that were once strong buildings.
This collection focuses on the idea that life goes on, that no matter how much devastation and sadness there once was here, there is life after death.
